Hypodermic needle theory, users and gratifications, reception study and passive or active consumptions.

The Hypodermic needle theory is some kind of a message passed to the audience. For example, if we imagine that a advert company is a ''gun'' and every advert is a ''bullet'' then these companies usually fire these bullets into viewers heads without them knowing it. If some company would advertise meat, they would put more red colours in the advert because meat is red and it tricks our brain so we feel that we want to eat it.

Users and gratifications is where someone from listening or watching your product is trying to gain something, usually that is:

  • Pleasure
  • Emotional Release 
  • Escaping from reality 

As I will be shooting a music video I could use some of this information in there as film something that describes a song of a music video.

I suggest you re-look at the presentations and the blog posts you were requested to complete because you have only passed one GC. You have the potential to pass all though, you just need to develop most of your posts.
